We are privileged to partner with the Girls Not Brides Uganda Central Region Allience and Nakasongola District, to organize a girl summit during the #16dayofActivism whose purpose was the fight against child marriages , keeping girls in school, teenage pregnancies, male invlvoment in promoting gender equality and addressing issues of harmful practices like FGM.
Nakasongola being one of the district with quite a number of remote areas where information access is not well effective the girl summit played a significant role in information dissemination and with positive response from the District Health officials the rights of girls will be protected and fought for.
